Another year, another Mama Day Gift Guide except — if you can believe it– this edition NOT last minute! π ππ½ This year, I’ve also come up with some new categories that hopefully make sense? I always love getting your feedback, so feel free to drop me a DM with your suggestions.
Gifts for the Comfort Seeker
For the moms for whom coziness is LIFE – a round up of all things well.. cozy. Below you’ll find some good loungewear pieces — the Skims PJs made the cut last year as well. I own them and can tell you they are worth every cent! A nice candle, a cozy throw and a sherpa robe you can monogram (if you order with enough time!). How cute is this hand stitched sweatshirt from local Mama maker Stitched By Lindsay? Another great personalized option – the kiddo names stitched on the sleeve are just ππ. I got my mother in law these Ugg slippers last Christmas and they were a HIT. She still wears them daily!
Both me and Chickie switched to sleeping on silk pillowcases and the difference on our hair has been HUGE! A lot less frizz and knots. I linked my exact one! Nothing says cozy like a hot cup of tea βΊοΈ and finally some good self care items because a good long soak in the tub after a day of momming should be a human right!
Gifts for Her Home
I had so much fun compiling this list of gifts for mom’s home! We gifted my parents this pizza oven some years ago and it’s been their go-to since ever since! A good grandparent gift for everyone to split πΈ. I’ve heard great reviews for this sleek set of nonstick pans. How cool are these modern pot holders? You can’t go wrong with classic coffee table books or a cooking book holder. This marble-like cheese board made me wonder why I didn’t think of it!
How cute is this scalloped serving tray? And the tabletop herb garden? What home-y dreams are made of! We have a LOVE these handmade modern farmhouse olive oil containers. It was love at first sight between me and this geometric wine holder – so interesting! Can’t leave behind my favorite water tumbler – ice lasts for DAYS – an initial mug and this cutie ‘thanks mom” candle π.
Gifts for the Travel Enthusiast
For the Mama who’s idea of self care is booking a flight and seeing the world — AKA, yours truly ππ½ββοΈ. I cannot catch a flight without a BIG scarf that doubles as a blanket! Have you heard of the brand Beis? They are doing some cool travel thangs – I included their cosmetics case because of the thoughtful design. This leather jewelry organizer is sleek, useful and can be personalized. These reusable toiletry bottles are really good. Can’t leave behind my favorite travel backpack. My mom travels with this purse and LOVES – it’s big enough to fit errrthing and a good price point.
You’ve seen rave about my TheCaep phone holder – it’s a local Mama owned brand that is doing it RIGHT. Having your phone accesible while hands free is a GAME CHANGER for travel (and everything else, really). I have this hand sanitizer in my bag at all times – cute and smells like heaven! A quality carry on is such a great gift! Wrapping up the edit with personalized bag tags, a weekly pill holder, a portable phone charger and a cutie Mama pouch!
Gifts for the Accessory Lover
Another category that is based (not so) loosely on yours truly π. When in doubt, a MAMA necklace (cursive gold is the $ find, pave standalone letters is more affordable) is always a good bet. This pair of trendy sunnies are a good price point. I’m in LOVE with this personalized choker – you can use mom’s name or the kiddos’ initials. It comes in many color combos. That necklace and the three cute pearl ones towards the bottom (large pearl pendant, single pearl, chunkier pendant) are all from mama + daughter brand Brinker and Eliza. I have TONS of their jewelry and can vouch for the quality – they look MUCH more expensive than they are and I get questions every time I wear their pieces! I have this handwoven palm leaf tote and use it a TON.
Moving on to hats – these madewell baseball caps are really, really good. I have them in several colors. They are slim and have a leather adjustable strap on the back. I love them for early AM drop-offs π§ββοΈ and traveling. This BIG beach hat looks amazing, especially considering the price tag. I could not leave behind this rattan visor covered in flowers – NEED. This daisy covered bucket hat will have us all passing for GenZers! Earrings are a big trend right now – I included some funky and more classic earrings that won’t break the bank: a modern take on classic pearls by Tory Burch, a gold flower pair that caught my eye, chunky hoops, tiny hearts and falling white roses (also available in black) – so cute and Springy! Moms, sisters, sister in laws – I had you in mind when picking these out! I received this Chloe perfume gift set for Christmas and it was hands down the best gift I got! I get SO MANY questions about my perfume (when I remember to wear it..), it’s been this one by Chloe for the past 10 years or so! My mama uses it, too π I love this affordable crochet (another big trend) summer bag. It comes in several colors. Last but not least — dressing up Mama’s pony: how cute are these pearly ponies (set of 3!) and black bow? So feminine without entering cheesy territory.
There you have it, my friends – this year’s Mama Gift Guide. My plan is to continue adding – I want to cover experience gifts next! — so send me any good items I missed or experiences you’d like to see included. Until then..
